editMate 1.5.0

Introduction

editMate was created to help audio engineers to get the best from EDL's. Often conforms go wrong it's difficult to know what happened but instead of being an auto-conform they become a manual conform. This is were editMate comes in, by previewing the edl in editMate many of the typical problems can be dealt with early enough to avoid wasted studio time.
editMate creates a timelime from the edl allowing a very quick assesment, data created from the edl is also displayed, number of edits, time taken to conform, number of rolls and the number of rolls with discontinuos time code. All this information means that its possible to schedule the correct time for the project.

Editing
editMate allows the following types of editing on individual edits or selected edits:
Cut,Copy,Paste,Delete
Roll names can be changed
Track cofiguration, mono stereo quad
Track numbers, move whole rolls to specific, move edits to new tracks
Source in/out times, ripple source rolls to a new TC
Master in/out times, ripple master TC or change durations of edits
Multiple EDL's can be merged
Selected edits can be saved as EDL's without the need to delete everytjing else

Conform Info

This section shows how many rolls the EDL contains the number of edits, an estimate of how long the conform will take, the shortest and longest edit and rolls with discontinuos Time Code. This last section points out the possibility of a rushes roll having time code longer than the tape, such as time of day or multiple codes, sometime this simply a miss digitised or labled roll. This can then be corrected in editmate and a new EDL can be created.
